Thoughts on Casting

Okey dokey.

These are just suggestions at the moment. Nothing is fixed in concrete. Some first thoughts

Over the weekend, and on a train journey to see rehearsals for a production of La Traviata in Birmingham, I made a little first stab at what scenes we might attempt and how we might break down the casting.

What I have done is just tried to distribute something nice to do for everyone.

When it says: Scene 2.3, for example, it doesn't necessarily mean that will do ALL of 2.3. MY MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO GIVE EVERYONE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY AND THE CHANCE TO DO SOME THING CHALLENGING AND FUN TO DO. So:

Scene 1.1 Witches. Everyone.

Scene 1.3 The Heath. Change so that there are only 3 witches. 1st Witch is a bigger role...
Macbeth 1 Juan?
Banquo Lee?

Scene 1.5 Castle.
Lady M1 Sarah Jane?
Macbeth 1 Juan?
Messenger - female

Scene 1.7 A Room.
Mac 2 Lee?
Lady M2. Chantelle

Scene 2.2 After the Murder
Macbeth ????
Lady M 3 Emma?

Scene 2.3 Knocking.
Porter Paul?

?? Scene 2.4 Without the Castle
Old (Wo)Man
Rosse (female)

Scene 3.4 Banquet
Mac 2 Lee?
Lady M 4 Kate?

Scene 3.5 Lennox (female)
Gemma?

Scene 4.2. Lady Macduff Abigail?
Child Gemma?

Scene 5.1 Sleepwalking
Lady Macbeth 5 Kendra?

So, please, everyone, have a think about this. If you have better suggestions, ideas, let's share them on Friday...

And, by the way, PUT SOME PICTURE IN YOUR POSTS!!! It will make them much more interesting to look at!!
